1 Girl Nation – “Turn Around” (Devotional)

When weΓÇÖre touring on the road, we sometimes have to navigate our way through the downtown of big cities to get to the venue. However, in our case, it means weΓÇÖre trying to get where we need to go with a 40 foot long tour bus and an additional 12 foot trailer. For example, our bus driver has to carefully make his way through the city via highways, overpasses, under bridges, through tunnels and sometimes narrow one-way streets. And getting lost in a big city, down a one-way street in a tour bus is a TOUGH spot to be in! ItΓÇÖs nearly impossible to turn around. The streets arenΓÇÖt wide enough, the alley-ways are too small, etc. In other words, it feels like weΓÇÖre trapped and like weΓÇÖll never get out! 

Sometimes life feels that way. Things happen in life that simply take us off course. We go down the wrong path and into areas weΓÇÖre just not prepared to be so we get lost. And the situation seems so big, so difficult and seemingly impossible to overcome. We ask ourselves, ΓÇ£How did we get here?ΓÇ¥ and more importantly, ΓÇ£How can we get back?!ΓÇ¥ 

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

2 Cor. 5:17

Thankfully, we have our answer through our example in Christ. He tells us that if we believe and trust in Him, we can begin anew. A fresh journey. The old way is no more. We are given new coordinates for our journey. We can find hope and redemption through ChristΓÇÖs sacrifice, knowing He can turn our situation around for the best. 

 In conclusion, as the lyrics in the chorus remind us, ΓÇ£YouΓÇÖre never too far from a brand new start.ΓÇ¥
