Building 429 – “Revolution” (Devotional)
We are more than conquerors: Romans 8:31-39.
Sometimes a question creeps into my head. ΓÇ£Why would the world want the Jesus that they see in me?ΓÇ¥
I think itΓÇÖs a fair one to ask. Why would they want what we have? IΓÇÖve got to be honest, many times when I look at those who are proclaiming the VICTORY IN JESUS, I donΓÇÖt see anything that resembles victory at all. In fact I see a whole lot of people that tend to live in defeat. They say things like, ΓÇ£itΓÇÖs ok brother IΓÇÖm just passing throughΓÇ¥ or they quote my song ΓÇ£where I belongΓÇ¥ and say things like ΓÇ£IΓÇÖm just glad IΓÇÖm not home yet.ΓÇ¥ REALLY GUYS? WeΓÇÖre really stumped as to why non-believers donΓÇÖt want to hear about Jesus?
Maybe its more of a false humility thing. We donΓÇÖt want to seem too confident, because we might come off as arrogant, or pompous.
The truth, however, is the truth… that NOTHING CAN SEPARATE US FROM THE LOVE OF JESUS. Not Life, Not Death, not ANYTHING in this world.
We have overcome through the one who has overcome the grave. You see it’s not that we should always be happy, it’s just that as believers we must remember that we are MORE than conquerors even when we find ourselves in dark moments. Paul never waivered. Even in prison when he could’ve felt sorry for himself, he worked harder and more diligently. The prison walls could hold him, but not the message he preached. There it is…. Our lives speak louder of the relationship with a TRUE and LIVING GOD in Hardship than they ever can in plenty. So the question becomes, How can we begin to live as MORE THAN CONQUERORS now, in Plenty or Hardship, because of the true relationship that we have with a KING??? Moreover… How much differently would our efforts to evangelize be if the evidence of God was revealed through our confidence in GOD??
