Elle & Tom Limebear – Jesus: THE Truth (Devotional)

Jesus: THE Truth

ΓÇ£YouΓÇÖre still the name, holding me stillΓÇ¥

I really enjoy Instagram. ItΓÇÖs a platform that I love sharing aspects of my life on. ItΓÇÖs great to see what my friends are up to when IΓÇÖm away or to hear the latest news from my family. ItΓÇÖs incredible to have a platform that gives the opportunity for people to express themselves and share whatΓÇÖs on their mind to the world.

I realized through social media that I was making space for unreliable sources to hold power and authority over certain areas of my life.

Society today is filled with influencers, gatekeepers and trend setters. All sharing their advice, direction, and recommendations. I realized through social media that I was making space for unreliable sources to hold power and authority over certain areas of my life. Beauty bloggers told me that I need this product, fashion accounts said that I need this dress or those shoes and influencers told me that my life doesnΓÇÖt measure up to what it should be.

As Christian’s we believe that Jesus really is who He says He is and what He says is the truth.

Jesus makes a bold statement to the world saying ΓÇ£I am the way, the truth and the life.ΓÇ¥ As ChristianΓÇÖs we believe that Jesus really is who He says He is and what He says is the truth.

We have to be aware that we are inundated with so many opinions or people’s version of truth but every day we need to remind ourselves that Jesus is the truth.

We have to be aware that we are inundated with so many opinions or peopleΓÇÖs version of truth but every day we need to remind ourselves that Jesus is the truth. He is above it all. He is almighty and all powerful. He is still the name that holds all authority on heaven and on earth – He still reigns.

Take a moment today and ask God to reveal any areas of your life that you have given someone else authority and power over. Maybe itΓÇÖs time to take those areas back and give them to Jesus – the One who loves you and holds your life together. Maybe itΓÇÖs time to unfollow some of those accounts?

God, I invite your searching gaze into my heart. Examine me through and through; find out everything that may be hidden within me. Put me to the test and sift through my anxious cares.

Psalm 139:23

See if there is any path of pain IΓÇÖm walking on, and lead me back to your glorious everlasting ways – the path that brings me back to you.Prayer: Jesus, thank you that you are the way, the truth and the life. Thank you that you want the best for me and I can trust you fully. Today, I give you permission to search my heart and reveal any areas that I need to give back to you. Fill me with you Holy Spirit today and remind me of my true identity. In JesusΓÇÖ Name, Amen.
