Elle & Tom Limebear – This Is Who YOU Are (Devotional)
This Is Who YOU Are
ΓÇ£YouΓÇÖre the King of glory, still you hold me togetherΓÇ¥
If we think that God does not love us, then we’ll spend each day living in a way that reflects that.
Our perceptions of the world shape the way we relate to the world. In a similar way, our perception of God shapes the way we relate to God. If we think that God is small, then weΓÇÖll live our life in a way that reflects that. If we think that God does not love us, then weΓÇÖll spend each day living in a way that reflects that.
If we really believe what God says about us then weΓÇÖll live confidently in a way that reflects that. WeΓÇÖll live as forgiven people -free of shame, guilt and regret. WeΓÇÖll live as people full of purpose – wanting to see the kingdom of God in all areas of our world.
But if we really believe what God says about Himself in the Bible, then weΓÇÖll live in a way that reflects that. WeΓÇÖll be people full of love – sharing the love of God and the hope of Jesus with the world.
Take a minute to reflect on your perception of God. Then read the following truths of who God says you are out loud. Let them shape the way you relate to yourself and the world around you today.
I am fearfully and wonderfully made – Psalm 139:14
I am a child of God – 2 Timothy 1:9
I am chosen – 1 Thessalonians 1:4
I am forgiven – Ephesians 1:7
I am a saint – 1 Corinthians 6:11
I am bold – 2 Corinthians 3:12
I am free – Galatians 5:1
I am a masterpiece – Ephesians 2:10
I have a future – Jeremiah 29:11
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you that I am made in the image of God. I pray today that I would walk confidently in my identity, relating to the world around me as a child of God. Fill me with boldness to share my hope with others and grace to meet people where they are. Pour the love of God into my heart to remind me of who I really am today. In JesusΓÇÖ Name, Amen.
