Many of us feel like we know who we are until a difficult circumstance presses us and we find our identity has been wrapped up in something else all along. What if your identify is first and foremost found in being a son or a daughter of Christ? Romans 8:16 says, ΓÇ£The Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by Him we cry ΓÇÿAbba, Father.ΓÇÖΓÇ¥ Only out of the place of knowing your value as a child of God can you begin to live out your true kingdom identity and purpose.
Today, stand firm on the reality that you belong to a Father and He loves you unconditionally.
DonΓÇÖt let the enemy convince you that your identity is found in how good you are in your career, how good you are as a parent, or how smart you are, or how liked you are by your friends or family. The only true, deep, and lasting satisfaction we have is that we have been adopted by a God who loves us perfectly. He accepts you. He adores you and He promises to complete what He started (1 Thessalonians 5:23-24). Ephesians 1:5 tells us that it was His will and pleasure to adopt us as His children. Out loud, declare to your Father that you trust Him and that you are a son or daughter who belongs to the King of kings and Lord of lords.
