J. Monty was born Sep. 9, 1991 and raised in Jonesboro, Ga. He took an interest in music at an early age. He was inspired by an era where Hip-Hop was a genre well taken care of by those entrusted with the gift to create it. He doesn’t have an extensive resume, or an elaborate story, because that story is being written right now. In 2015, J. Monty released his first album, Second Born, as an independent artist. Koryn Hawthorne featured J. Monty on her single ΓÇ£ReasonsΓÇ¥ in 2017. Fast forward to 2018, Monty signed a record deal with Sony Music and joined Koryn Hawthorne on the roster. He announced he would be going on tour with Canon and Derek Minor and released four singles in 2018, the latest being My God.
