Royal Tailor – “Got The Fire” (Devotional)

Ecclesiastes 9:10

By now IΓÇÖm sure youΓÇÖve heard of the 10,000-hour rule.  If not, allow me to introduce the idea that it takes at least 10,000 hours of practice or devoted study to achieve mastery level at any given activity.  Whether athlete, musician, computer wizard, designer, artist, master criminal, (fill in the blank) the magic number seems to be 10,000 hours to be considered world class.

Although Mozart was a prodigy and rendered world-wide acclaim at age 6, it wasn’t until he was 21 that he was credited with ΓÇÿmaster work.ΓÇÖ  Legendary band, The Beatles, played in venues for more than 5 hours straight for 198 nights in the span of 2 years prior to garnering a cult like following and world-wide fame.  Bill Gates logged thousands of hours programming until he broke through to become one of the worldΓÇÖs most revolutionary geeks of all time.

It is clear that these individuals blazing new portals in their perspective fields don’t lack one area for certain; passion. Passion keeps you focused, passion keeps you dedicated, passion keeps you pushing the boundaries and expanding your limits.

Being passionate may not always lead to world-class status. My hope is that you unlock an unbridled passion when endeavoring to advance GodΓÇÖs kingdom on the earth.

How do we become passionate?  A good place to start is being passionate about everything you do.   If you start allowing passion to flow in yourself, new opportunities and areas of interest will be opened up. This will allow you to really explore and then lock into your purpose.  Scripture promises that if we are faithful in a few things, God will make us ruler over many.  So, get passionate about where youΓÇÖre at and what youΓÇÖre doing now. In turn, you will pave a road into the greater purpose God designed for you.
