Deliverer

The theme of God as Deliverer is a common thread throughout scripture. For example, the exiled Israelites in Egypt looked to the promise of being delivered from slavery, David in Psalm 70 wrote: “Come quickly to me O God, you are my help and my deliverer, O Lord do not delay.”
