I need a different course for my life.” We reach a point where we mature in our faith, and we realize God already has the course of our life taken care of. ItΓÇÖs a hard thing when you fully surrender to the present, and you give that to God, and then you turn around and you are able to slowly trust the mystery of an uncertain future and know that the certainty in it, is God. Part of the beauty of the Gospel is the resurrection. Sometimes things have to die in order for them to come to life.

This particular song was inspired by a third century sermon by a guy named John Chrysostom. The concept of it is very simple. God used death to destroy death. He did not even have to lift a finger. He literally tricked death into destroying itself. Jesus used the process of death to completely eradicate it. So now it just becomes a process of transformation, it is a window or a doorway. So it became this chorus of ΓÇÿChrist has risen from the dead trampling over death by death.ΓÇÖ
